SAVING A GOOD MAN!
Thank you for visiting kidney4tom.com today!
We are so grateful that so many potential unbelievably generous and kind donors have applied to help Tom Buelow. As of December 10th, there were over 37 who have applied so far, almost all of them unknown to us. In addition, because of this campaign, many many more especially from the Milwaukee area have reached out to UW-Health in Madison to offer to be a donor for anyone who needs it. UW-Health has been scrambling to add capacity to handle this blessed demand. We know many lives will be saved along with Tom's because of these selfless heros. You can be one too by clicking one of the links below.
We are very excited to announce that as of late November, a MATCH HAS BEEN FOUND and cleared for Tom! Both donor and Tom have now passed pre-op testing and God-willing, the living donation and transplant surgery will occur on January 2nd, 2020. If you would like to follow our progress, please like our page on Facebook. Of course anything can happen, so we may still need those who have applied for Tom to help us in the future. Please consider becoming a kidney donor. Nationally every two hours someone is added to to the transplant list, and living donation provides by far a much better outcome for a longer life.
UW Health in Madison is one of the top 10 transplant centers in the country. Though it's coordinators, qualified donors are placed on the National Paired Exchange where "swap chains" are formed to match multiple donors and recipients. One altruistic donor can be the spark to save many lives. You could be that ONE HERO!
